First Half of 2026

It’s already July, and the first half of the darts season is behind us. For me, this is my first half-year with the Tour Card. Twenty-two of the 34 tournaments on the Players Championships Tour have been played. I’m not entirely satisfied with what I’ve achieved so far, but there’s been an upward trend lately, which has me feeling positive. In the last two tournaments, I managed to win my opening matches, which earned me important prize money toward my world ranking. I need to build on that. It’s important to know that in Players Championships tournaments, you have to win the first round to receive any prize money at all.
These tournaments are also the “normal” way to qualify for the World Championship at Ally Pally. Right now, I’m not in one of the qualifying spots. But 1–2 strong tournaments could quickly change that. Nothing is lost yet, and I still believe I can make it to the World Championship this year.
One highlight was the World Cup of Darts in Frankfurt in June. I had the honor of representing Switzerland alongside Marcel “Cello” Walpen. It’s a tournament I always really enjoy.
After our victory over the Portuguese team (featuring our good friend Luis Camacho), we faced the strong Polish duo (Ratajski/Bialecki) in a match to advance. We really gave them a run for their money, but ultimately lost by a very narrow margin. Still, I’m taking a lot of positives away from the tournament. A special thanks goes out to Cello—it was a lot of fun!
Now, in the second half of the year, the goal is to win as much prize money as possible at the remaining Players Championships tournaments. Another highlight is coming up in October with the European Tour in Basel, where I hope to fight my way into the main field through the national qualifier. Qualifying for other European Tour events is also a goal, though the qualifiers for those are always very tough. In each one, you have to defeat three Tour Card holders in a row in a single day. But I firmly believe I’ll be competing on that stage this year as well.
I’d especially like to thank my sponsors and the people around me, who have my back and support me as best they can.
